Are you ready to explore the world without leaving campus? Join us for the "Explore World Cultures and Experience Diverse Exchanges" series this Fall semester! These events are designed to bring local and international students together through engaging activities, insightful talks, and hands-on experiences. Whether you want to practice languages, learn about different traditions, or simply make new friends, there is something for everyone. We welcome you to participate in these enriching cross-cultural sessions.

Session 1: English Culture Event - Pizza & Talk Night Date: Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2026 Time: 5:30–7:30 p.m. Venue: Room 802, 8th Floor, Ren Yan Building Theme: Cross-cultural exchange workshop with internationals Purpose: This event uses a relaxed Pizza Gathering as a medium to break down traditional classroom hierarchies and assessment pressures, building an interactive scaffolding between local students and internationals. Session 2: Get to Know Poland Date: Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2026 Time: 12:00–2:00 p.m. Venue: Room 802, 8th Floor, Ren Yan Building Speaker: Adjunct Teacher Malgorzata Sokol, Department of Foreign Languages and Literature Theme: The speaker will use an authentic, firsthand perspective to lead you across geographical boundaries, deeply exploring Poland's historical and cultural heritage, social dynamics, and modern lifestyle. Purpose: This session will be conducted entirely in English, creating a natural and authentic environment for cross-cultural language use. Session 3: Learn Japanese New Year Customs through Handicrafts Date: Thursday, Nov. 19, 2026 Time: 12:00–2:00 p.m. Venue: Room 802, 8th Floor, Ren Yan Building Speaker: Adjunct Teacher Mei-Chun Lien, Department of Japanese Language and Literature, Providence University Theme: Through hands-on origami activities, you will learn about Japanese culture while experiencing a healing effect on the mind and body. During the crafting process, vocabulary related to Japanese New Year culture will be introduced. We hope you can understand Japanese New Year traditions through this engaging origami activity.
